Update on our busy lives!

Alright we have been busy! So, a couple weeks ago, we went to Texas. We swam a lot, bought a double stroller for half off on Craigslist (probably the best find I've ever found on that website!) and decided it would be fun to go look at neighborhoods in the DFW area to see if we liked any. 

So, one day we decided to drive to lewisville and flowermound, because that's the location we were thinking we would like. Boy were we wrong. In our price range, most neighborhoods were not kept cute, had no neighborhood parks or pools, and just didn't feel nice. So, after a day of driving around, Greg and I decided we didn't want to live there. On the way home we found some model homes in our price range in little elm and decided to go in. We fell in love. We decided it would be fun to build a house... Here's the thing. Houses in Dallas are going up like 5-10,000 a month. We won't be looking to actually move into a house until February or so (we need to save some money for a down payment first!)

So, the next day we went to sunset pointe. It's in little elm about 5 miles from my parents house but in a different ward. :) we went into a Dunhill model, and honestly it was our dream home. We fell in love. Completely. We wanted that house. The salesman told us it takes 9 months to build a house (done in feb, perfect timing)... And all they needed to start building was 500 down, and proof that we could get approved for a loan. So, we thought and prayed about it, and called a lender. 

So, we are officially building a home in sunset pointe! It's a four bedroom 2 story house with a gameroom! We are thrilled! Closing date is feb 28th. Hopefully nothing drastically changes in interest rates or something at makes it so we have to back out, but we are confident in our choice as of now. :)

In other news, I've been busy with baby showers! I threw one for one of my bffs Jessie! She's an adorable preggo. Having a baby boy in September! Here are a few pics: 

The other baby shower, was mine! One of my BFFs was in town from California and wanted to throw me a shower. It was a blast. Only like 7 people came, but fun nonetheless! We played fun games I had never played before! And she spoiled me ROTTEN. Love you Marci!
