Tyler's home... Strep throat

Uncle Ty is home! And with him being home, he brought strep throat with him! 😂

We picked him up from the airport and went to La Hacienda. The kids were so excited to see Ty. Of course we rode on the horses! 

On Monday morning we decided to go to the zoo! It was cloudy and had a small chance of rain with thunderstorms starting around 1 pm. We got to the zoo around 9:30, and it was perfect! It was fairly empty, and a perfect temperature .

Monday night we had a fun bbq at my parents house with our friends. Olivia started acting like her teeth were hurting her... Super grumpy.

Tuesday Olivia had a fever but it wasn't super high and her canine teeth are coming in, so I thought it was teething.  Boy was I wrong.

Tuesday night her fever spiked, and I could tell something wasn't right. Took her to the urgent care and she had strep. So they put her on amoxicillin. 

Wednesday we played with Uncle Ty, and went and did a little shopping for our Europe trip!

Thursday we decided to take advantage of the few hours of sunshine for the week and go swimming! 

Well, Thursday afternoon she was acting even more sick. I called the nurse, and they told me to take her in and make sure the strep was gone (48 hours of antibiotics should have been killing the strep). Well, sure enough, the strep was still positive and even more positive than the first! 

They put her on a stronger antibiotic, so hopefully we are set now.

Let's pray no one gets it while we are in Europe next week! 😁
